The Staff Accountant will provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting in preparing financial statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare monthly internal financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and various departments.
  • Maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet schedules.
  • Perform journal entries directly to the general ledger.
  • Provide accounting support for audits and financial requests.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting vast amounts of data.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of experience in related field, preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong analytical skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
