SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant will provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and assisting in preparing financial statements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements by maintaining detailed schedules, reports and records
  • Assist with financial and tax audits, e.g. banking, workers compensation, and 401K audits
  • Document and monitor internal controls
  • Assist with financial and profitability analysis
  • Perform a wide range of variance analyses
  • Create custom reports for executives based on periodic requests

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field, preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
